A method for estimating the state of a tire includes the following steps. (1) The inside of the tire is provided with at least one power generator that generates a voltage in response to the deformation of the tire. And (2) acquiring time-series measurement data obtained by measuring at least one of the voltage and a physical quantity corresponding to the voltage during rotation of the tire. And (3) determining peaks repeatedly appearing in the measurement data. And (4) specifying at least one of the value of the peak and the interval between the peaks. And (5) estimating the state of the tire on the basis of at least one of the specified value and the specified interval. The power generating body has a first member and a second member. The first member and the second member are configured so that one is positively charged and the other is negatively charged in response to pressure applied to the first member and the second member.
