The invention discloses a highway intelligent inspection system and method based on AR + AI technology, and the method comprises the steps: an infrastructure layer is configured to access front-end equipment to achieve the omnibearing monitoring and sensing of traffic conditions, and complete the access and collection of multi-source data; the service layer is configured to provide user management, image management, video tag configuration and one-machine-one-file service, support third-party system docking, and ensure efficient user authentication, authority management, video preview and backtracking, equipment monitoring, tag customization and association, and establishment and analysis of an equipment data file; and the application layer is configured to integrate application management, video map and augmented reality technology application, road property operation and maintenance inspection, alarm linkage plan and situation analysis functions, and realize efficient access and management of front-end equipment, backup and access of data, display and retrieval of video tags, and automatic inspection and alarm disposal. The problems of how to improve the inspection efficiency, accuracy and management cost of the expressway are solved.
