A DC charging module (104) for a charging inlet assembly (100) includes a module housing (160) extending between a front portion (170) and a rear portion (172). The module housing has an inner chamber (162) between the front portion and the rear portion. The DC charging module includes a terminal having a mating pin (200) at a front portion of the terminal and a cable connector (202) at a rear portion of the terminal. The cable connector is located in the inner chamber of the module housing. A mating pin extends forward from the module housing into the charging inlet assembly for mating with a charging connector coupled to the charging inlet assembly. The DC charging module includes a power cable (128) extending into the interior chamber of the module housing to electrically connect to the cable connector of the terminal. The DC charging module includes a heat exchanger (300) received in the inner chamber of the module housing. The heat exchanger is thermally coupled to the cable connector of the terminal. The heat exchanger includes coolant channels (302) for coolant flow through the heat exchanger to actively cool the terminals.
