Provided is a vehicle travel control device capable of preventing the amount of electricity stored in an electricity storage device such as a battery from becoming too small even if the operation of a power source such as an internal combustion engine is stopped and the own vehicle is coasting. When a deceleration condition for decelerating the vehicle (100) is satisfied, the vehicle travel control device (10) controls the deceleration of the vehicle (100) if the amount of charge of an electrical storage device (23) of the vehicle is equal to or less than a first deceleration charging threshold value. Regenerative charging coasting control is executed as coasting control, in which the vehicle is coasting while the operation of the power source (20) is stopped, the running energy of the vehicle is regenerated by a power generation device (22) of the vehicle, power is generated, and the power generated by the power generation is charged into a power storage device. When the amount of charge is greater than the first deceleration charging threshold value while the deceleration condition is satisfied, normal coasting control is executed as coasting control in which regeneration is not performed and the vehicle is coasting in a state in which the operation of the power source is stopped.
