The present invention provides a self-vehicle blind spot monitoring system having a function of recognizing a target object of a self-vehicle blind spot in order to cope with regulations (UNR151, UNR159). The present invention is a vehicle blind spot monitoring system that recognizes the type of an object on the basis of detection results from a plurality of radar devices that transmit a transmission wave to a prescribed detection area and detect the object using a reflected wave received from the object reflecting the transmission wave, the plurality of radar devices are arranged such that the vertical heights of the detection areas of the radar devices from the road surface are different, and the vehicle blind spot monitoring system is provided with an identification processing unit. The recognition processing unit acquires, for each of the detection regions, detection points obtained by detecting the object and distance information from the radar device to the detection points, and recognizes the type of the object on the basis of the size of a detection region constituted by the detection points and the distance information.

    本发明提供一种为应对法规(UNR151、UNR159)而具备自身车辆死角的物标的识别功能的自身车辆死角监视系统。本发明为一种自身车辆死角监视系统,其根据多个雷达装置的检测结果来识别物体的种类,所述雷达装置将发送波发送至规定探査区域,并使用从反射所述发送波的所述物体接收的反射波来检测所述物体,其中,所述多个雷达装置配置成各雷达装置的探査区域距路面的铅垂高度不一样,并且,该自身车辆死角监视系统具有识别处理部,所述识别处理部按每一所述探査区域来获取检测所述物体得到的检测点以及所述雷达装置起到所述检测点为止的距离信息,根据由所述检测点构成的检测区域的大小以及所述距离信息来识别所述物体的种类。
