The invention discloses a reciprocating underwater detection glider which comprises a body provided with a tail and a head. The main shaft extends in the machine body in the direction from the machine tail to the machine head; the storage battery module is movably arranged on the main shaft, the storage battery module can move in the axial direction of the main shaft, and the mass center of the storage battery module coincides with the virtual central axis of the main shaft; the solar cell panel is arranged on the peripheral side of the machine body and electrically connected with the storage battery module; the first displacement driving structure is arranged to be used for driving the storage battery module to move in the axial direction of the main shaft; the lateral water spraying propulsion structure is arranged on the machine head, and the water spraying thrust direction of the lateral water spraying propulsion structure is set to be in the radial direction of the machine head; a buoyancy control structure; and a control system. The device has the capability of fixed-point up-and-down reciprocating multi-time detection, and also has the function of wave track cruise detection in a preset ocean area.
