The power generation control method of the range extender comprises the steps that the current fixed-point power generation power of a vehicle is obtained; acquiring accessory energy consumption of the range extender in the last shutdown period; determining corresponding first compensation power according to the fixed-point generation power; wherein the fixed-point generation power and the first compensation power have a preset corresponding relation; the compensated energy during the starting period of the range extender is determined; if the compensated energy is greater than or equal to the accessory energy consumption, stopping using the first compensation power to compensate the fixed-point generation power; and if the compensated energy is less than the accessory energy consumption, continuously using the first compensation power to compensate the fixed-point generation power.
