A system, apparatus and method for guiding an aircraft autopilot guidance control system (100, 300) of an aircraft having a body, the system comprising: a processor (101) configured to determine whether a yaw angle difference and a pitch angle difference satisfy respective angle thresholds; a sideslip-turn module (105) configured to generate a sideslip-turn signal if a respective angle threshold is satisfied; a tilt-turn module (102) configured to generate a tilt-turn signal having a lower bandwidth than the generated sideslip-turn signal; a rudder integrator module (104) configured to add a rudder integrator feedback signal to the tilt-turn signal, where the rudder integrator feedback signal is proportional to the rudder integrator; and a filter module (103) configured to filter the generated tilt-turn signal, where the filter module (103) comprises a low pass filter configured by a set of gains to pass the tilt-turn signal when a lateral force on the body satisfies a lateral force threshold (111).
