The invention relates to the technical field of computer science, and provides a parking optimization method and system based on an improved particle swarm algorithm. The method comprises the steps that parking demand information of a first user is obtained, feature recognition is conducted on the parking demand information, parking demand feature information is obtained, parking position feature information and parking attribute feature information are extracted, a plurality of parking areas are screened according to the obtained parking position and attribute information, and therefore parking associated areas are obtained; then real-time parking information collection is carried out on the parking associated area, and an associated area database is obtained; and finally, based on an improved particle swarm algorithm, performing parking decision according to the parking demand feature information and the associated area parking database, obtaining a user parking decision scheme, and sending the user parking decision scheme to the first user. Therefore, the technical effects that the parking decision is tracked by improving the optimization and optimization searching functions of the particle swarm algorithm, and the parking optimization efficiency and accuracy are improved are achieved.
