The method comprises the steps that first acceleration and second acceleration of a target vehicle are obtained through a first sensor and a second sensor, and the first acceleration and the second acceleration comprise lateral acceleration; when the absolute value of the difference value between the first acceleration and the second acceleration is smaller than a preset verification value, the relation between the first acceleration and a preset contraction value and a preset expansion value is judged; when the absolute value of the first acceleration is larger than a preset contraction value, seat side wings of the target vehicle are controlled to contract inwards; and when the absolute value of the first acceleration is smaller than or equal to a preset unfolding value, seat side wings of the target vehicle are controlled to be unfolded outwards. By means of the method and device, the wrapping angle of the side wings of the seat can be automatically adjusted, and the driving safety coefficient and the spacious comfort degree are improved.
