The invention provides a hybrid power system and a modular assembly thereof. The hybrid electric vehicle is characterized in that the modular assembly comprises multiple engines and multiple speed changing systems, any engine and any gearbox can be connected with each other based on a first connecting interface and a second connecting interface of the engine and the gearbox, and the power pack comprising the engines and the speed changing systems is assembled. The hybrid power system can meet the requirements of vehicle types for the hybrid power system. The design requirements are met through different combinations of the modular assemblies, so that the development cycle of a vehicle model is shortened, the difficulty of accessory management is reduced, and the cost of a single hybrid electric vehicle is correspondingly reduced.
