The invention relates to the technical field of electric vehicles, and discloses a locking mechanism which is used for connecting a battery pack to an electric vehicle in a locking mode and comprises a locking piece arranged on the electric vehicle and a sliding locking assembly arranged on the battery pack, and the sliding locking assembly is used for being connected with the locking piece in a sliding locking mode. The sliding locking assembly comprises a sliding plate and a fixing piece, the fixing piece is arranged on the battery pack, the fixing piece is provided with a locking hole for the locking piece to penetrate through, the sliding plate is in sliding connection with the fixing piece, the sliding plate slides between a first position and a second position relative to the fixing piece, and when the sliding plate is located at the first position, the sliding plate is locked by the locking hole. When the sliding plate is located at the first position, the locking piece can be separated from the locking hole, and when the sliding plate is located at the second position, the sliding plate is used for limiting the locking piece to leave the locking hole. The method and the device have the effect of improving the safety and the reliability of battery replacement.
