The invention provides a torque sensor fault diagnosis method and system, terminal equipment and a storage medium, and the method comprises the following steps: obtaining the torque related information of a vehicle and the induction torque of a torque sensor in real time after a power-on signal of the vehicle is received, and inputting the torque related information obtained in real time into a preset torque model, a real-time reference torque is obtained, and then a real-time fault signal residual error is calculated; and when the absolute value of the fault signal residual error is greater than a first preset threshold value, continuously monitoring the change trend of the fault signal residual error within a first preset duration, and sending a corresponding fault indication based on the change trend. The classification diagnosis result of the scheme can provide effective guidance for a control strategy of a vehicle torque system or maintenance of a torque sensor, it is guaranteed that the torque control system can normally respond to the real torque output requirement of a user, and traffic safety accidents are avoided.
