The invention discloses a mechanical steel rail locking system for preventing longitudinal displacement in long steel rail transportation, which comprises a side column, a locking beam, a rail locking unit and a driving motor, the rail locking unit comprises a clamp assembly and a driving linkage assembly, and the driving linkage assembly comprises a clutch, a hollow bidirectional lead screw and a rotating main shaft. The rotating main shaft sequentially penetrates through the clutch, the hollow bidirectional lead screw and the driving motor from front to back to be in butt joint with the front end of the rotating main shaft of the first rail locking unit, and the clutch is connected with the hollow bidirectional lead screw and the rotating main shaft to enable the hollow bidirectional lead screw and the rotating main shaft to synchronously rotate; the clamp assembly comprises a clamp assembly sliding seat, a clamping jaw and a pressing block, movable guide protruding columns are arranged on the front side and the rear side of the clamp assembly sliding seat, strip-shaped guide groove plates are arranged at the bottom of the clamping jaw in a left-right downward extending mode, and fixing pin columns which extend outwards and are inserted into corresponding through holes of the locking beam for installation are arranged on the left outer side and the right outer side of the middle of the clamping jaw. The clutch has the advantages of simple electro-hydraulic system, mechanical locking of the steel rail, reduction of bearing of longitudinal force from the steel rail, initiative use of the clutch, ingenious thought and the like.
