The invention relates to a flexible wave compensation platform mechanism and a compensation method. The mechanism comprises a chassis installed on a ship or an offshore operation platform. The supporting platform is movably connected with the chassis; the compensation assemblies are arranged between the chassis and the supporting platform, the compensation assemblies are evenly arranged in the circumferential direction of the chassis, and when the supporting platform deviates due to wave motion, the compensation assemblies apply different tensioning forces to the supporting platform so that the supporting platform can move in the direction opposite to the deviation direction, and the supporting platform can be flush; therefore, wave motion of the supporting platform is compensated. Compared with the prior art, the wave motion of the supporting platform can be flexibly compensated, and compensation is more accurate and stable.
