Techniques are discussed herein for analyzing radar data to determine that radar noise from one or more target detections potentially hides additional objects in the vicinity of the target detections. A determination may be made as to whether an object may be hidden based at least in part on a radar noise level based on target detection and a distribution of radar cross-section and/or Doppler data associated with a particular object type. For a location in the vicinity of the target detection, the radar system may determine an estimated noise level and compare the estimated noise level to a radar cross-section probability associated with an object type to determine a likelihood that an object of the object type is hidden at the location. Based on the analysis, the system may determine a vehicle trajectory or may control the vehicle based on a likelihood that the object may be hidden at the location.
