The invention discloses a strong tidal current type profile observation buoy device, which comprises a hollow buoy body, and the lower end of the buoy body is open; the pulley is positioned in the buoy body; the winding motor is mounted in the buoy body; a measuring sensor is mounted on the detecting piece; one end of the cable is connected with the upper end of the detection piece, and the other end of the cable is connected with the winding motor after bypassing the wheel; the counterweight mechanism is arranged in the buoy body, the counterweight mechanism comprises a plurality of counterweight blocks with different masses, and the counterweight blocks are used for being detachably connected with the lower end of the detection piece. By arranging the counterweight mechanism, the counterweight blocks with different masses can be switched according to needs to be installed on the detection piece, it is guaranteed that the sensor is not taken away by the tidal current, and meanwhile the power consumption for collecting and releasing in the weak current period can be effectively reduced.
