Based on a ship at least comprising two generators and a steam turbine, the ship waste heat recovery device comprises a cooling water channel, two heat exchangers and a control valve bank, the cooling water channel is provided with two cooling water inlets and two cooling water outlets, the cooling water inlets are communicated with cooling systems of the ship generators respectively, and the two heat exchangers are communicated with the control valve bank. The cooling water outlet is communicated with the heat exchangers, one heat exchanger exchanges heat between the cooling water and a water inlet pipe of the ship water heater so as to preheat water in the water inlet pipe, and the other heat exchanger exchanges heat between the cooling water and condensate water so as to change the condensate water into steam to be supplied to the steam turbine; the invention further discloses a waste heat recovery method. And the use scene of heat recovery can be selected, so that the effects of energy conservation and emission reduction are achieved.
