The method provided by the embodiment of the invention comprises the following steps: after receiving a first acquisition image and a second acquisition image sent by an image acquisition module, extracting first position data of the underwater robot from the first acquisition image; determining displacement change data of the underwater robot according to the first acquisition image and the second acquisition image; determining relative displacement data of the underwater robot according to the first position data and the displacement change data; and controlling the underwater robot to move to target position data according to the relative position data.
