The invention relates to a tooth meshing safety elevator which comprises an elevator car body, climbing mechanisms and a stopping mechanism, the two sides of the elevator car body are each provided with one climbing mechanism, and the stopping mechanism is connected with the climbing mechanisms; in the actual life use process, when the elevator runs, the driving assembly can run to drive the climbing teeth to rotate through the rotating wheel, so that the climbing teeth climb on the climbing frame, and when the speed of the elevator car body is lowered abnormally, the hydraulic assembly can run to squeeze hydraulic oil into the flow channel, so that the elevator car body is prevented from falling off. Then hydraulic oil enters a movable cavity and extrudes a piston, so that the piston drives a braking piece to approach a disc, the disc is tightly held through the braking piece, a rotating wheel is braked emergently, climbing teeth stop the climbing action, and therefore the lift car body is subjected to emergency stop, and the lift car can be more conveniently and efficiently subjected to emergency stop; the elevator is safer to use and more convenient to maintain.
