The invention discloses a method for optimizing a charging time sequence based on time-of-use electricity price and transformer capacity, and relates to the technical field of electric vehicle charging management, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining vehicle information and a charging time limit received by a user; using a similar day characteristic load curve as a transformer load prediction curve to ensure that the accessed vehicle does not exceed the upper limit of the transformer; acquiring real-time electricity price information, and selecting an optimal charging strategy according to a threshold value; and setting an objective function for minimizing the total charging cost, and ensuring that the charging time does not exceed a time limit acceptable by a user. According to the method, the similar day characteristic load curve is adopted as the transformer load prediction curve, the problem that the upper limit of the capacity of the transformer is exceeded is effectively avoided, and on the premise of ensuring power supply safety, the charging plan of the electric vehicle is optimized, electric power resources are utilized to the maximum extent, and energy waste is reduced.
