The invention provides a complex hybrid configuration mode switching method and system, and belongs to the technical field of new energy automobiles. The method comprises the steps that control instructions of the first gear shifting mechanism, the second gear shifting mechanism, the first power source, the second power source and the third power source are output according to operation mode requirements to achieve intervention and quit of the three power sources, and then switching of five operation modes of the hybrid power system is achieved. According to the invention, a complex hybrid architecture comprising three power sources, double gearshift mechanisms, a planetary mechanism and the like can be satisfied to realize smooth switching among five operation modes, and an important guarantee is provided for efficient, reliable and smooth operation of a hybrid system by controlling intervention and quit of the power sources and execution instructions of the gearshift mechanisms.
