The invention provides a control device for a hybrid vehicle and a control method for a hybrid vehicle. The control device performs: a driving force switching process in which, when the implementation of a fuel cut process for an engine provided with a filter for collecting PM in exhaust gas is prohibited, the braking torque generated by the drive system during the deceleration of the vehicle is reduced compared to when the implementation of the fuel cut process is not prohibited; a motor driving process in which, during deceleration of the vehicle, the engine is driven to rotate by the first rotating electric machine to burn and purify the PM collected by the filter; and a setting process for setting, when the implementation of the fuel cut process is prohibited, the vehicle speed at which the implementation of the motor drive process is permitted to be higher than when the implementation of the fuel cut process is not prohibited.

    本发明提供一种混合动力车辆的控制装置及混合动力车辆的控制方法。控制装置进行:驱动力切换处理,在具备捕集排气中的PM的过滤器的发动机的燃料切断处理的实施被禁止时,与未被禁止时相比,减小在车辆减速过程中驱动系统产生的制动转矩;电动机驱动处理,在车辆减速过程中,通过第一旋转电机驱动发动机旋转而对由过滤器捕集的PM进行燃烧净化;及设定处理,在燃料切断处理的实施被禁止时,与未被禁止时相比,将允许电动机驱动处理的实施的车速设定为高的速度。
