The invention relates to the technical field of channel monitoring, and discloses a monitoring and early warning method and system for channel crossing of a power transmission line, and the method comprises the steps: determining an elevation positioning coordinate of a conductor sag lowest point of the power transmission line through employing a dynamic relative positioning algorithm; and the height between the lowest point of the conductor sag of the power transmission line and the water surface is calculated as a ship navigation net height limit value, so that the navigation real-time net height is accurately calculated, the ship in the monitoring image is identified, and a laser reflection signal reflected by a pre-emitted laser beam and the signal strength thereof are obtained through a laser emitting and receiving module, so that the ship navigation real-time net height is accurately calculated. According to the signal intensity of the laser reflection signal, whether the ship is a suspected superelevation ship is determined, and the height information of the suspected superelevation ship is compared with a ship navigation net height limit value, so that whether the suspected superelevation ship is a superelevation ship is determined, and superelevation warning is performed on the superelevation ship. Therefore, the early warning accuracy and early warning efficiency of the navigable ship are improved.
