The invention relates to the technical field of elevator products, in particular to an elevator shunting traction method, which comprises the following steps of: performing shunting traction on traction steel wire ropes on a car side, and equally dividing the traction steel wire ropes on the car side into N bundles; a steel wire rope is transmitted to the positions and directions of different lift car suspension points in a split mode through a lift car side guide wheel, and one end of a traction steel wire rope on the lift car side is connected with the lift car suspension points or wall connecting points according to different elevator traction ratios. The traction steel wire ropes on the counter-weight side are discharged and are subjected to shunting traction, and the traction steel wire ropes on the lift car side are equally divided into L bundles; one end of the traction steel wire rope is transmitted to the positions and directions of different counterweight traction points in a split-flow mode through the counterweight side guide wheel, and one end of the traction steel wire rope on the counterweight side is connected with the counterweight traction points of the counterweight module. By means of the traction steel wire rope multi-strand shunting method, the lift car side suspension point and the lift frame can be adjusted, the requirements of a special polygonal structure and four-side transparent sightseeing of the lift are met, and the requirement for the maximum utilization rate of a special shaft is met.
