Comprising a rectangular straight pipe manufacturing step of machining a first positioning hole in a rectangular straight pipe, and welding corrugated plates at the two ends of a cylindrical supporting piece to manufacture a supporting box, the method comprises the steps of manufacturing a rectangular straight pipe, manufacturing a supporting box, manufacturing a main beam blank, bending and forming the main beam blank into an arched beam, and machining the arched beam into a required bumper through a hot air bulging forming process, wherein a first positioning hole is formed in the supporting box, and a second positioning hole is formed in the supporting box. According to the method, the supporting strength is improved in the mode that the supporting box is connected through spot welding, the precision requirement is relatively low, the process is simpler, and the manufacturing cost is low. Compared with a reinforcing rib structure penetrating through the whole bumper, the strength of the manufactured bumper is increased only by adding the supporting box structure at the position with the high strength requirement, the overall strength is improved in the mode that the inwards-concave ribs are added on the surface, and the light weight can be further achieved.
