The invention discloses a floating crane ship propeller overturning and hoisting structure and a method for installing a propeller, and relates to the technical field of ship construction. The floating crane ship propeller overturning and hoisting structure comprises a lifting lug set arranged on a ship body block and a lifting hole set arranged on the propeller; the number of the lifting lug sets is five, each lifting lug set comprises two lifting lugs, and the two lifting lugs are symmetrically arranged along the section in the length direction of the ship with respect to the central axis of the propeller well. The number of the lifting hole sets is three, each lifting hole set comprises two lifting holes, the first lifting hole set and the second lifting hole set are formed in the face, located on the inner side of a cabin, of the installation flange, and the two lifting holes of the first lifting hole set and the two lifting holes of the second lifting hole set are located in the same circle with the circle center of a center hole of the installation flange as the circle center. Lifting ropes are arranged between the lifting lug sets and the corresponding lifting hole sets, and the lifting ropes can be tightened or loosened. By arranging a reasonable hoisting structure, each state of the propeller in the overturning installation process is controllable, finally, the propeller is adjusted to the installation position, the posture is controllable, and therefore precise positioning and precise installation of the propeller are achieved.
