The invention relates to the field of engineering machinery, in particular to a falling amplitude control method and device and a crane. The falling amplitude control method comprises the steps that the target falling amplitude speed of the crane is determined based on the handle falling amplitude opening degree of the crane, the target current when the crane is at the target falling amplitude speed and the compensation current enabling the current current to be close to the target current are determined, and finally the current current of a falling amplitude balance valve is adjusted in a closed-loop mode according to the compensation current and the target current. Therefore, the real-time amplitude falling speed is equal to the target amplitude falling speed. According to the falling amplitude control method provided by the invention, the target falling amplitude speed is calculated by means of the handle falling amplitude opening, and the current current of the falling amplitude balance valve is subjected to closed-loop regulation by using the target current and the compensation current when the crane is at the target falling amplitude speed, so that the real-time falling amplitude speed is equal to the target falling amplitude speed; therefore, the amplitude falling speed of the crane can be kept at the target amplitude falling speed in real time, and the amplitude falling process is stably carried out at a constant speed.
