The invention discloses an unmanned aerial vehicle arresting system and a control mode thereof.The unmanned aerial vehicle arresting system comprises a power system, a winding drum device, a braking system, a hydraulic system, a control system and a radar speed and distance measuring instrument which are arranged on a base, the power system drives the winding drum device to rotate, and the braking system is driven by the hydraulic system to brake the winding drum device; a stopping belt is wound on the winding drum device and penetrates through the guiding system to be connected with a stopping steel rope, the radar speed and distance measuring instrument tracks and measures the displacement and the speed of the unmanned aerial vehicle body in real time and feeds back the displacement and the speed to the control system, and when the control system detects that the displacement and the speed of the unmanned aerial vehicle body deviate from preset ideal displacement and ideal speed, the unmanned aerial vehicle body is stopped. By adjusting the oil pressure value of an electro-hydraulic proportional valve of the hydraulic system, the braking torque is adjusted for deviation correction, and nonlinear control is adopted for the unmanned aerial vehicle arresting system; the system can adapt to the weights of various unmanned aerial vehicles and the wider net collision speed, the stopping distance is shortened, the unmanned aerial vehicles can be automatically controlled in a closed-loop mode, and the labor cost is low.
