The invention discloses a turnout and a rail transit system, the turnout comprises at least one single turnout, the single turnout comprises a fixed beam, and the fixed beam comprises a first edge beam and a second edge beam which are oppositely arranged; the number of the movable beams is at least two, the movable beams are movably arranged between the first edge beam and the second edge beam respectively so as to define at least three switchable traveling channels, and the top face of each movable beam is constructed to be a first traveling face for traveling wheels of the railway vehicle to travel; the movable beam comprises a rotating beam and a moving beam, a rotating center is arranged at one end of the rotating beam, the rotating beam can rotate around the rotating center, and the moving beam is connected with the other end of the rotating beam and moves along a preset path. The turnout is small in size and light in weight.
