The method comprises the steps that a vibration sensor obtains the vibration amplitude of an elevator in real time, stores the vibration amplitude in a local database and sends the vibration amplitude to a data processing module; the data acquisition module acquires the vibration amplitude of the elevator in normal operation and sends the vibration amplitude to the data processing module; the data processing module processes the received data, calculates characteristic parameter values of the elevator, compares and analyzes the characteristic parameter values with standard characteristic parameter values, and sends an early warning or fault signal to the comprehensive analysis module when the elevator is abnormal; the comprehensive analysis module timely sends maintenance personnel to check and maintain the abnormal elevator; the running state of the elevator is known in time, and the running safety of the elevator is improved.
