The aim of the invention is to ensure as individual support as possible when the driver travels on an unknown road section. To this end, a method for controlling a vehicle is provided, in which geometric test data and driving dynamics test data are acquired on a test section (1). The test data is divided into groups, and group-specific driving dynamics data is determined for each group. Finally, the road segments (2) to be traveled are grouped, and the vehicles are controlled in the road segment sections (5) as a function of the determined driving dynamics data of the respective group.
