The invention provides an operation and maintenance monitoring method and an operation and maintenance monitoring device for a direct current charging pile. The operation and maintenance monitoring method comprises the following steps: acquiring output current and output power provided for a vehicle battery by a target direct current charging pile in a charging process; based on the output current and the output power, the heat dissipation efficiency of the current target direct current charging pile for dissipating heat outwards is estimated; whether the estimated heat dissipation efficiency meets the heat dissipation requirement or not is determined, and when the estimated heat dissipation efficiency does not meet the heat dissipation requirement, a notification indicating that the target direct current charging pile needs to be operated and maintained is sent to an operation and maintenance terminal associated with the target direct current charging pile. By means of the mode, the direct current charging pile needing to be maintained can be maintained in time, the efficiency and precision of operation and maintenance of the direct current charging pile are improved, excessive maintenance of the direct current charging pile not needing to be maintained is avoided, therefore, the operation and maintenance manpower efficiency is improved, and the operation and maintenance manpower input of a charging pile operator is reduced.
