The invention provides an electric vehicle energy consumption determination method and system, and relates to the technical field of vehicles. The method for determining the energy consumption of the electric vehicle comprises the steps that first instantaneous power corresponding to external resistance is obtained; acquiring second instantaneous power corresponding to the acceleration resistance; acquiring third instantaneous power corresponding to the low-voltage power consumption; determining the power of the whole vehicle according to the first instantaneous power, the second instantaneous power and the third instantaneous power; and determining the energy consumption of the whole vehicle according to the power of the whole vehicle. The whole vehicle power is determined according to the first instantaneous power corresponding to the external resistance, the second instantaneous power corresponding to the acceleration resistance and the third instantaneous power corresponding to the low-voltage power consumption, so that the whole vehicle energy consumption can be determined, and the relationship between the whole vehicle energy consumption and the external resistance, the acceleration resistance and the low-voltage power consumption can be visually displayed; the simple and visual method for determining the energy consumption of the electric vehicle is provided, the applicability and the engineering landing performance are higher, and effective guidance can be provided for users.
