The embodiment of the invention provides a method and device for managing abnormal use of a battery, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining the parameter information of the use of the battery, the parameter information comprises at least one of the following items: rate information of increasing or decreasing of the electric quantity of the battery, rate information of capacity fading of the battery, frequency information that the discharge current of the battery exceeds the maximum discharge current, wake-up duration information of the electric equipment, charge and discharge interval duration information of the battery, and environment temperature information during charge and discharge of the battery; and determining a strategy for managing abnormal use of the battery according to the parameter information. According to the method and the device for managing the abnormal use of the battery, the abnormal use of the battery can be reduced, so that the loss of the performance and the service life of the battery can be reduced, and the maintenance or replacement cost of the battery is reduced.
