The invention provides a bridge resonant converter, a hiccup control method and a vehicle-mounted charger. A compensation signal is generated through a compensator in a controller according to an error signal obtained by the difference between a threshold signal and a sampling signal from the bridge resonant converter; a control signal generator in a controller generates a switch control signal for controlling the bridge type resonant converter according to the compensation signal, and when the frequency of the compensation signal is larger than or equal to a frequency set value, the switch control signal controls the bridge type resonant converter; and the control signal generator switches off a switch driving signal for driving a first upper tube of a primary side bridge unit in the bridge type resonant converter, and outputs a switch driving signal for driving a first lower tube of the primary side bridge unit in the bridge type resonant converter according to the frequency of the compensation signal. And the phenomenon that the bootstrap driving module cannot be driven because the voltage on the bootstrap capacitor is too low can be avoided.
