A method of producing a charging connector (10), comprising the steps of: providing a first thermoplastic material (M1); thermoforming the first thermoplastic material (M1) into a reinforcing element, wherein the reinforcing element corresponds to the geometry of the charging connector (10); the reinforcing element is placed in a mold for injection molding; and forming at least a portion of the charging connector (10) by injection molding the remolded reinforcement element with a second thermoplastic material (M2).
