The invention belongs to the technical field of hoisting, and particularly relates to a large-tonnage wind power maintenance hoisting method which comprises the steps that a climbing mechanism is installed on the outer side wall of a wind power tower, and the climbing mechanism moves in the height direction of the wind power tower; a crane is installed on the operating platform, the operating platform is sent to the top end of the wind power tower through a climbing mechanism, the operating platform and the wind power tower are fixed, and a lifting hook of the crane extends out of the operating platform and is in transmission connection with a ground traction mechanism; a lifting hook of the crane falls to the ground through the ground traction mechanism, a lifted object is hung on the lifting hook of the crane, the lifted object and the climbing mechanism are bundled and fixed, the lifting hook of the crane is driven to ascend through the ground traction mechanism, and the lifted object is lifted to a designated position; and hoisting is completed. According to the method, the hoisting structure and the equipment cost investment are simplified, and meanwhile, adverse factors brought to the tower due to the huge eccentric acting force of the hoisted object in the climbing process of the hoisted object are avoided.
