The invention relates to the technical field of electric power steering systems, in particular to a motor active speed reduction and safe turn-off method for an EPS controller. Compared with the prior art, a system strategy is added, so that active speed reduction and safe turn-off of the motor are realized under the condition that an existing circuit structure is not changed, and the MOSFET is prevented from being broken down and damaged. According to the invention, the cost of safe turn-off is reduced, and the process is simplified.
