Provided is an interior component for a vehicle, the interior component being capable of improving and facilitating workability when a skin is coated on a base material, and reducing work steps or man-hours. The interior component (1) for a vehicle has a design surface (2) and is provided with a base material (10) and a skin material (20) that covers the base material (10), the skin material (20) has a linear locking member (5) at the ends (21, 22) of the skin material (20), and the linear locking member (5) is attached to a position of the base material (10) that cannot be observed from the design surface side. The linear locking members (5) are provided at the ends (21, 22) of the surface material (20), and the surface material (20) is stretched by the wire, so that slack wrinkles can be suppressed when the surface material (20) is covered on the base material (10). Furthermore, the surface material (20) can be fixed without using an adhesive by attaching the linear locking member (5) to a position that cannot be observed from the design surface side.
