The invention provides a working method of a material lifting and storing mechanism. The working method comprises a material lifting mode and a material overturning mode. The material lifting mode comprises the following steps that a lifting motor drives a lifting frame to conduct lifting; a lifting air cylinder is driven, a storage mechanism is driven to lift through a lifting sliding block, and a second pulley fixedly connected with the storage mechanism slides on a lifting guide rod; the material overturning mode comprises the following steps that the overturning motor is driven, and the material overturning plate is driven to rotate to the position above the middle position of the material guiding and clamping bottom plate; the materials are placed on the material guiding and clamping bottom plate; a material guiding clamping air cylinder is started, material guiding clamping pieces are driven by the material guiding clamping air cylinder to rotate, and the material guiding clamping pieces on the two sides get close to each other, so that materials are located in the middle of a material turning plate; an overturning motor is started to drive the material located on a material overturning plate to rotate, so that the material is overturned and moved to one side of the material guiding and clamping mechanism; the height of materials can be rapidly and flexibly adjusted, and meanwhile box type materials can be turned over and moved.
