The present disclosure provides a motor vehicle workspace with enhanced privacy. A transport vehicle provides a workspace in a passenger compartment to support teleconferencing with a remote party. The exterior sensor is configured to scan an exterior of the vehicle and detect a pedestrian. The acoustic exciter is configured to generate externally directed masking noise. A control circuit that enhances the privacy of a teleconference is configured to A) detect audio content of the teleconference present in an interior of a vehicle, B) quantify an internal sound level of the audio content, C) estimate discernability of the audio content at an external location corresponding to a detected pedestrian, and D) activate an acoustic exciter that activates the audio content at an external location corresponding to the detected pedestrian. A masking noise is adapted to the audio content at the masking external location.
