The present disclosure provides a "non-pressurized coolant reservoir and cap". A non-pressurized fluid reservoir for a vehicle coolant system includes a bottle configured to store a fluid. The bottle has a neck defining an inner circumferential surface without threads. The reservoir also includes a cap having a lid and a handle extending from the lid. The handle has an outer circumferential surface and has a helical ramp supported on the outer circumferential surface to surround a portion of the handle. The handle may be received within the neck with the helical ramp adjacent the inner circumferential surface to mitigate fluid leakage through the neck.
