The invention belongs to the technical field of air conditioners, and particularly relates to an electronic expansion valve control method for starting a heat pump air conditioner under a low-temperature working condition, which comprises the following steps: an automobile heat pump air conditioner initiates a heating starting request when the external environment temperature is-10 DEG C to 5 DEG C; calculating the current condenser outlet temperature, the condenser outlet pressure, the compressor inlet pressure, the actual supercooling degree, the target starting pressure and the target supercooling degree; initializing an electronic expansion valve and setting a threshold value; the air conditioning system carries out pressure control on the opening degree of the electronic expansion valve through the target starting pressure and the condenser outlet pressure; the air conditioning system conducts supercooling degree control over the opening degree of an electronic expansion valve through the target supercooling degree and the actual supercooling degree; and hysteresis is added in the pressure control process and the supercooling degree control process, and it is ensured that the system does not repeatedly jump between the pressure control process and the supercooling degree control process. Segmented control is adopted while the threshold value is set, the heat pump air conditioner can rapidly achieve system stability in the low-temperature environment, stable heating is achieved, and energy consumption is reduced.
