The invention relates to a method for configuring a network, a tire monitoring network and an aircraft. The method includes transmitting, by an untrusted device, first configuration data to a first tire monitoring device and receiving, by the untrusted device, a first input that verifies that the first configuration data has been loaded to the first tire monitoring device and matches expected first configuration data; transmitting, by the untrusted device, second configuration data to the second tire monitoring device and receiving, by the untrusted device, a second input that verifies that the second configuration data has been loaded to the second tire monitoring device and matches the expected second configuration data; and upon receiving the first input and the second input, transmitting, by the untrusted device, a command that initializes generation of the encryption parameters by the first tire monitoring device and causes exchange of the encryption parameters with the second tire monitoring device to establish secure future communication between the first and second tire monitoring devices.
