The identification method comprises the following steps: establishing a traffic network model comprising road network data, road intersection data and vehicle trajectory data; wherein the road intersection data comprises an intersection ID, an intersection passing direction, whether vehicles in the intersection passing direction can pass or not and an ID of a road driving into the intersection, and the vehicle passing direction is subjected to digital coding; and in the traffic network model, setting a circular buffer area by taking the intersection of the intersection as a circle center, carrying out clustering analysis on the vehicle sub-tracks in the buffer area, and carrying out intersection traffic structure change identification according to the vehicle track condition in a clustering cluster. According to the invention, whether the intersection traffic structure is changed can be automatically identified, and the reliability, accuracy and efficiency of identification are effectively improved.
