The invention relates to an automobile body, in particular to a top cover and side wall connecting structure and a design method thereof and a vehicle, the top cover and side wall connecting structure comprises a top cover body and a side wall body, the left edge and the right edge of the top cover body are provided with lap joint parts extending outwards, and the inner side edge of the side wall body comprises a modeling section, a welding section and a reinforcing section which are sequentially connected from outside to inside; the top cover body is provided with a lap joint portion, the lap joint portion abuts against the welding section, the butt joint portion and the welding section form a welding groove with an upward opening, the welding groove is used for being filled with welding flux, a laser head can conveniently irradiate and heat the welding flux, and the top cover body and the side wall body can be better connected during laser spot irradiation. The included angle between the plane where the welding section is located and the Z-axis of the vehicle body and the length of the welding section located at the upper end of the welding seam in the welding groove are obtained based on a preset calculation formula. The structure can effectively avoid the poor welding phenomena such as undercut and burrs in the laser welding area of the automobile top cover, and has the advantages of being stable, high in practicability, capable of improving the appearance and service performance of an automobile and the like.

    本发明涉及汽车车身,具体涉及顶盖与侧围的连接结构及其设计方法和车辆,包括顶盖本体和侧围本体,所述顶盖本体左、右边沿设有朝外延伸的搭接部,所述侧围本体内侧边沿由外至内包括依次连接的造型段、焊接段和加强段,所述搭接部与所述焊接段抵接,且在抵接处与所述焊接段形成开口朝上的焊接槽,该焊接槽用于填充焊料,方便激光头对焊料进行照射加热,且激光光斑照射时顶盖本体和侧围本体能更好地得到连接。所述焊接段所在平面与车身Z轴之间的夹角以及位于焊接槽内焊缝上端的焊接段的长度分别基于预设计算式求得。该结构能有效避免汽车顶盖激光焊接区域出现咬边及毛刺等不良焊接现象,该结构稳定,实用型强,能提升车辆外观及服役性等优点。
