The invention discloses an aircraft tire monitoring device including a wireless communication interface. The aircraft tire monitoring device is configured to operate in: a first mode in which the wireless communication interface is periodically activated at a first interval between activation and is operable to connect to a remote device; and a second mode in which the wireless communication interface is periodically enabled at a second interval between enabled and is available for connection to a remote device. The second interval between the activations is different from the first interval between the activations.
