The invention relates to a forklift steering control system which comprises a front axle steering mechanism, a rear axle steering mechanism, a mode switching valve set, a steering gear, an oil tank and a system controller. The front axle steering mechanism comprises a front steering oil cylinder, and the rear axle steering mechanism comprises a rear steering oil cylinder. The mode switching valve group is provided with a port P1 and a port T1 which are connected and communicated with the steering gear, a port P2 and a port T2 which are connected and communicated with the front steering oil cylinder, a port A1 and a port B1 which are connected and communicated with the rear steering oil cylinder, and a port A2 which is connected and communicated with an oil tank; the mode switching valve group comprises two two-position four-way electromagnetic reversing valves, a three-position four-way electromagnetic reversing valve, a bidirectional hydraulic lock and four two-position three-way hydraulic control reversing valves which are communicated through an oil path. The front-wheel steering system can be compatible with a conventional front-wheel steering system, three steering modes of front-wheel steering, four-wheel steering and crab-shaped walking are achieved, the front steering oil cylinder is a driving oil cylinder all the time, the rear steering oil cylinder is a driven oil cylinder all the time, and the rotating pressure of rear wheels can be guaranteed.
