The invention relates to an AMT vehicle cold start control system and method. The technical problems that an existing AMT vehicle is low in cold start success rate, long in cold start time and large in engine abrasion in an extremely cold environment are mainly solved. The system comprises a gearbox TCU and a clutch. The input end of the transmission TCU is used for obtaining an engine rotating speed signal, a hand brake signal, a foot brake signal, a gear shifting handle gear demand signal, a gearbox oil temperature signal and a gearbox air pressure signal. The output end of the gearbox TCU is connected with the control end of the clutch; and the gearbox TCU is used for controlling the clutch to be opened or closed according to the acquired engine rotating speed signal, hand brake signal, foot brake signal, shift handle gear demand signal, gearbox oil temperature signal and gearbox air pressure signal.
